Job Description

The Aircraft Engineer at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Netherlands, plays a crucial role in setting up and enhancing maintenance programs. They analyze the needs of the organization and design effective solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement and takes proactive steps to implement necessary changes. In addition, the Aircraft Engineer must find the optimal balance between the operational availability of Ground Support Equipment and the Total Cost of Ownership to ensure efficient operations at the airport.

  • You draw up work instructions for mechanics and specify the required tools and materials
  • You check whether the quotes from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) match the specifications you have drawn up for the new vehicles you are purchasing
  • You support customers with the introduction of new vehicles and provide operator/user training
  • You regularly visit the OEM during a project to coordinate the final acceptance of the GSE
  • Advanced certifications in aerospace engineering
  • Experience with maintenance optimization
  • minimum HBO diploma, WO is a plus
