Job Description

As an Allround Mechanic, you play a crucial role in the maintenance of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Netherlands. You perform both preventive and corrective maintenance work, guide external parties in the event of malfunctions, monitor the work of colleagues, share knowledge, and act as the point of contact for technical and operational issues. You have a keen eye for maintenance trends and propose efficiency improvements while considering costs.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • You assist external parties with various malfunctions and repairs
  • You perform visual and physical inspections on various types of vehicles according to the work order
  • You replace parts and repair the equipment in question
  • You check the functioning and operation of the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and independently locate faults using diagrams, measuring equipment and documentation
  • Act as a point of contact for technical and operational issues
  • You report complex, unforeseen, unusual or major repairs to the Team Manager or Working Foreman
  • You keep the tools in good condition and ensure order and cleanliness in the workplace
  • Certification in GSE maintenance or related field
  • preferably a completed technical MBO 3 or 4 training in the direction of (commercial) car mechanic
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
  • driving license B and T (C and E is a plus)
  • extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic engineering and pneumatics
