Wings over Holland Flight School is one of the most experienced flight schools for general aviation in the Netherlands. The school offers a wide range of flight training programs, including PPL, CPL, FI, SEP, MEP, SE-IR, ME-IR, CRI-SE, CRI-ME, IRI, NR, PBN, A-UPRT, and Aerobatics. Aspiring pilots can start their journey with the Private Pilot License (PPL) course. For those who already hold a PPL, Wings over Holland offers more than 15 advanced training programs, up to and including frozen ATPL. This makes it possible to build an entire flying career within the same school.

For anyone who wants to experience flying before committing to training, the school offers four different trial lessons. One option is a flight in the Katana, which gives a taste of the PPL training. For thrill-seekers, Wings over Holland also provides an aerobatics trial lesson, where participants can experience barrel rolls, loops, and much more.

AIS Flight Academy, based at Lelystad Airport in the Netherlands, offers an integrated Airline Pilot Program designed to train aspiring commercial pilots. The 24-month program combines theoretical studies—covering aviation law, meteorology, navigation, and flight planning—with hands-on flight training, culminating in a Frozen ATPL.

A key advantage is the academy’s close ties with AIS Airlines, allowing many graduates to transition directly into first officer roles through the cadet program. Tuition for the full program is around €120,000, covering both theory and practical flight training.

Located at a less congested regional airport, the academy provides a focused environment for learning. Prospective students should consider costs of living and potential weather-related training delays.

Rotor & Wings is a government approved ATO, and trains pilots for the European EASA-FCL license. Rotor & Wings is the only ATO in the Netherlands to train both fixed wing and helicopter pilots.
