"When industries face labor shortages, they often try to recruit foreign workers. However, this is usually not possible for the aviation industry due to stringent security regulations. To be employed in the aviation industry, individuals are required by government regulations, among others, to present a certificate of no criminal record issued by the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD). For civil aviation, employees must pass a Level B security check. One of the procedural requirements for obtaining a criminal record certificate at this level is that the individual must have been traceable for at least eight years.
To address this issue, specialized programs should be established in collaboration with government authorities, allowing certain foreign workers to undergo security clearance and meet the traceability requirements, ensuring compliance with local laws."
Aviation industry faces greater challenges in finding employees than any other sectors.
