Founded in 1970, the Lake Area Tech Aviation Maintenance Department has received the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certificate of Excellence Diamond Award for five consecutive years Beside the core Part 147 curriculum, Lake Area Tech offers flight instruction - our hangars hold no less than four regularly flying aircraft (including a motor glider and a tailwheel model)! The classrooms are all at the hangar, directly on Watertown´s airport ramp, and hands-on maintenance studies are the rule, not just a rare privilege.
