Lund University School of Aviation (LUSA) is one of few universities with higher education in aviation. Lund University School of Aviation has an outspoken ambition to be a centre for flight and flight related training- through research and development.

Established in 1939, the flying club operates its own airport on a good-will basis. As of April 2009, the club had approximately 110 members whereby 80 are flying actively. The club offers training towards the Private Pilot License (PPL).

Borlange Flying Club has over the years been able to provide glider training during summers and theory lessons during the winter months.

Arvika Flying Club was formed by enthusiasts in the 1940’s and is today one of Värmland larger flying clubs with about 50 members. The club has its premises at West Landing Airport / ESKV in Arvika.
